Ash Wednesday

Park and First Presbyterian Combine Again for Ash Wednesday Worship!

2025 offers us a chance to again join with fellow Christians for shared worship and renewed fellowship.   This will happen, once more, during Ash Wednesday this year.

The 12:00 pm noon Ash Wednesday service will take place in our sanctuary at Park Presbyterian. Pastor Todd will lead the noon worship.  A light lunch, with time for fellowship, will also follow the noon service.

The 7:00 p.m. Ash Wednesday evening service will be held at First Presbyterian.  Andrew Di Nardo, the Young Adult Ministry Director at First Presbyterian, will lead evening worship service.

Both services will feature communion, marvelous music, a thoughtful meditation, and the imposition of ashes.  Come—and bring a friend!

E.M. Nesbitt Memorial Scholarship

We are once again accepting applications for the E.M. Nesbitt Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is open to Beaver Area High School seniors who intend to continue their education after graduation and need financial assistance.  Seniors who are Park Presbyterian community members are also eligible, regardless of their High School.  Decisions will also be weighted for eligible students pursuing a career in ministry or other church vocation.  Applications can be found outside the Park Church office or by clicking on the link below for a printable form.

The submission deadline for application materials  is April 15. Awardees will be notified by June 1.

New Salem Presbyterian Church On-line giving

As most of you know, on January 24th,  the New Salem Presbyterian Church building  in Midland/Ohioville suffered great loss in a fire. Many of you have asked how to help the church financially.

On-line giving is now available: https://secure.myvanco.com/L-ZP9F/home

"I ask your prayers for these sheep of Christ's flock and their long-time Commissioned Pastor, Jeff Marquis. Now is a time of grieving the loss of sacred space with the hope of moving forward in Christ's way."  (from Rev. Dr. Tom Harmon's Email of Jan. 24th)

Presbyterian Giving Project

Have you ever shared your toys, snacks, or a kind word with a friend? When we share, we show love—just like Jesus taught us!

The Presbyterian Giving Project helps people in need by providing food, water, and even farm animals to families who need them.

Park Presbyterian will be part of this big, loving mission, designating collections given during Sunday School and donations from the congregation to the purchase of farm animals.

Please use the Magic Box in the Gathering Area to continue to support  this project.

Even small gifts make a big difference! Just like Jesus used a little boy’s lunch to feed thousands, God can use our gifts to help many people. Let’s pray that our giving brings joy and hope to others!
