A Christian and life-long Presbyterian, Pastor Todd Allen hails from Avon, Ohio, located just west of Cleveland. He is the youngest of three children—and taller than both of them!
Todd attended Kenyon College, also located in Ohio, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Studio Art, both with highest honors. For a time, he prepared to pursue a career in law. He then felt pulled to work in marketing/advertising.
For over a decade, Todd worked in the headquarters office of Young & Rubicam, a major ad agency in New York City, managing accounts for clients such Johnson & Johnson, Unisys, and The U.S. Army Reserve. During this same time Todd became deeply involved in the ministries of a historic Presbyterian church in New Jersey where he resided. A sabbatical spent on the island of Iona, off the west coast of Scotland, confirmed his sense of call to begin theological studies. He holds a Master’s Degree in Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Pastor Todd’s first call, post seminary, saw him return to Scotland and serve an 1,800-member congregation there. Since returning to the United States, he has served Presbyterian congregations in Ohio, Minnesota, North Carolina, and Alaska. Each church family—and ministry setting—has added to his wisdom and love of the Lord.
Pastor Todd has completed interim ministry training required by the Presbyterian Church (USA). He has earned one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). He is certified in Conflict Mediation through the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center.
Serving Park Presbyterian brings Pastor Todd back in touch with his Midwest roots, but he looks forward to an overseas adventure once a year. He thoroughly enjoys the arts scene in nearby Pittsburgh. He can also lose himself for hours keeping a fleet of aging SAAB automobiles on the road. Other interests include philately, vintage audio, and scale modeling.
Director of Music
Eric Kochanowski
Eric has always been honored to be in church music. “I get to help make special the most important times in the lives of others.” He also feels passionately about uniting people and helping them connect to their God through music. This has been his mantra since accepting his first position as director of music and organist at age 16.
“I’ve always felt that if we are making music for our Creator, it should be honest, majestic, heartfelt and the highest quality. If we believe that God enters our presence every Sunday, then we should treat each Sundays as if it were Easter!”
Being trained as a performer and having sung such roles as Samson in Saint-Saens’s “Samson and Delilah” and Marcello in Puccini’s “La Boheme”, Eric believes that his stage experience helps him to keep church music exciting and refined.
Eric enjoys: Performing, teaching voice, coffee and wondering what other people do on Sunday mornings.
Associate Music Director
Sharon Schaller
Sharon is thrilled to be at Park to assist in Eric’s excellent music ministry! She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Point Park University, and worked as a professional actress for many years, but never gave up her passion for music. She now is the head of Musical Theatre at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, where she teaches musical theatre classes and works on shows in the Subscription Series as either a Music Supervisor, Music Director, Choreographer or Director.
Sharon served as Music Director at College Avenue United Methodist Church before coming to Park and served in the same position at Monroeville United Methodist Church before that. She loves getting to work with the children of Park, as director of the Children’s Choir. She loves sharing her passion with kids and hopes to inspire them to appreciate music and especially to enjoy singing!
Sharon and her husband Tom have 3 amazing daughters: Kelsey, Elyse and Emma and a dog named Jake!
Hello, my name is Kristin Lee, and I am honored to serve as your administrative coordinator. I've been a part of Park's family since 2022, and it has been an incredible experience.
I'm very passionate about serving the amazing members here, and I'm looking forward to getting to know each one of you better. I truly care about building connections with people within and outside of the church.
When I'm not at Park, I love spending time with my husband, Rob, and our two children, Robert and Anna. Being a part of Park's staff is a true blessing, and it brings so much joy to my life every day. I'm thankful for the opportunity to grow in love and fellowship with such a warm and caring community.
